M8/M9 Infrastructure Project
The M8/M9 project, undertaken on time and on budget, was the Queensferry environmental works, which saw major changes to the infrastructure of some of the busiest roads and junctions on the Scottish network and has greatly improved the ease of travel for many millions of commuters annually.
It eased the passage for commuters and hauliers approaching and leaving the capital in Edinburgh and has replaced a notorious blackspot for traffic congestion, by a modern and free-flowing passage to all points north, east and west, as well as into the city itself.
A highly complex build in terms of demand on the very exacting standards of work required, Barbour Structures were required to embrace many new techniques and methods of working, which stands the company in very good stead for future contracts of this nature.
